New Research Project: Mapping the Economic Footprint of Swedish Hunting

We’re proud to announce a new collaboration with the Swedish Hunting Association to conduct Sweden’s most comprehensive study on hunting’s economic effects.

This data-intensive project will analyze decades of hunting-related data to quantify and visualize how hunting contributes to Sweden’s economy, rural communities, and wildlife management.

The Mission

To build an interactive BI Dashboard and analytical toolkit that transforms complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for policymakers, researchers, and hunting stakeholders.

The Outcome

public-facing dashboard that will:

  • Visualize hunting’s economic value across different regions
  • Support evidence-based wildlife management decisions
  • Provide transparency into hunting’s role in rural economies

Why This Matters

Hunting in Sweden is more than a tradition, it’s an economic engine and a cornerstone of wildlife management. By quantifying its effects, we can ensure sustainable practices, inform policy, and demonstrate hunting’s value to the broader Swedish society.
